The OPI SpideRing is a combination of spider and chainrings and is made from one piece using 3D forging and CNC milling technology. This creates an extremely light and torsion-resistant chainring combination. The design was inspired by alloy wheels with thin spokes used in motor racing. The SpiderRing with 50-34 teeth is compatible with 10- and 11-speed chains. With adapted tooth profiles, shift ramps, shift gates and chain line line n, the shifting behavior is at the absolute top level of comparable high-end racing bike components.

This 8 arm version of the SpideRing is only about 26 grams heavier and is less expensive than the same size 10 arm SpideRing SL.
