E-Thru axle skewers allow you to put your mountain bike in a traditional wheel-on stationary trainer. The bulky endcaps in the photo stick out either side and allow the cups on the axle receivers of the trainer to hold on to your rear wheel. Separate axles are available for direct drive trainers, and they replace the standard axle skewer.
